  • Entering shows

    Entering shows is the main way for players and horses to get experience points and advance levels.

    All players and horses receive a certain amount of xp just for entering the shows and once the shows run the first 20 entries will receive more experience, based on the position.

    In order to enter shows, a player must go to the stable, select a horse and click on the

    Enter shows button.

    Players have an show_entering_skill on the home page. This is how fast shows can be entered.

     

    Player experience:

    Depending on the guild, players get a certain amount of experience points for entering shows.

     

    Horse experience:

    Mares and Stallions receive 25 xp for entering shows, while Geldings receive 32 xp.

     

    Experience gained when the shows run:

    Horses and players receive Xp for placements 1 through 20 as follows

    How show results are calculated:

    Factors influencing show results

    1. Skill Points - 35%
    2. Tack points - 25%
    3. Specialization points - 25%
    4. Level points - 15%

    When shows run the game calculates the winners based on the 4 main factors listed above. Each of them is calculated when the horse enters the show and they all depend on multiple other factors.

    Some of them influence all the 4 main factors:

    1. Horse happiness.
      This is the most important factor. A 100% happy horse will be twice as competitive as a 50% happy horse.
    2. The player's guild.
    3. A tiny random factor.
      It goes from -4% to 4%. It means that 2 identical horses, in identical race conditions will have slightly different points.

    Skill points:

    The skill points factor depends on:

    1. Skill points assignment.
    2. Skill trait.
    3. The skill points match the type of the show entered.
    4. The player has the
      The wand of horse improvement
      magic item.
    5. The arena horse bonus.

    For every horse entering a show, the skill points are calculated based on the above factors.

    1. The game determines which skills are required for the entered show type and what is the importance of each of those skills, using the skills importance chart.
    2. The game calculates the total amount of skill points the horse has: level * 6.
    3. The game calculates the trait bonus (if the horse has a skill trait).
    4. For each of the skills required for entered show, the game calculates how well the skills were assigned, in concordance with the actual required skill importance.

    Note: Once the skill points factor is calculated, the game will multiply it with the arena bonus. A 100% trained horse will have twice as many points as a 0% trained horse.

     

    Example:

    Horse #808469 has the following stats:

    • Level 256
    • Trait: Agility
    • Skills assigned:
      • Agility: 750
      • Speed: 600
      • Intelligence: 150
    • Total skill points: 256*6 = 1536

    Let's assume that this horse enters a Jumper show and let's calculate the skill points factor.

     

    1. According to the chart the skills required for Jumper shows are: Agility 50%, Speed 40%, Intelligence 10%
    2. The total amount of skill points is 1536.
    3. The trait is Agility. We will assume that the player does not have the wand, so the bonus is 10%.
    4. As specified, there are 3 required skills for the Jumper type.
      • Agility
        Agility points = 750 + 1536/10 (10% of the total) = 750 + 153 = 903.
        903 is 58% of the total skill points.
        Note: The game will use only 50% of the total which is 768 and this means that the horse has more than 100 skill points assigned to Agility that won't help.
      • Speed
        Speed points = 600. The trait is agility, so there are no points added here.
        600 = 39% of 1536.
        Note: The horse could use some skill points moved from Agility to Speed. The optimal number for Speed would be 615.
      • Intelligence
        Intelligence points = 150 = 9.7% of the total skill points. The optimal number for intelligence would be 154.

    Notes:

    • The skill points factor in this case is 50% of 1536 + 39% of 1536 + 9.7% of 1536 = 1516. The maximum skill points factor is 1536.
    • The above maximum factor is 1536 with 0% arena training. 100% arena training would double that number (3072)

    Specialization points:

    The specialization points factor depends on:

    1. Horse speciality.
    2. Total shows entered.
    3. Speciality trait.
    4. The player has the
      The wand of horse improvement
      magic item.
    5. The arena horse training.

    In calculating the points the game will do the following:

    1. It counts how many shows the horse has entered in total (including the speciality added at the arena)
    2. It determines what is the speciality for the entered show.
    3. It verifies if the speciality trait matches the type of the entered show. The trait bonus is:
      • 10% if the player is regular.
      • 20% if the player has The wand of horse improvement magic item. This item also adds a 200% base, effectively helping the horses have a double speciality. Note that the purpose of the extra 100% is to allow a second discipline, a 200% speciality will not be better than a 100% speciality.

    Example:

    Horse #1029054 has:

    1. Trait Racing.
    2. 29887 Racing shows.
    3. 197879 English shows.
    4.  5120 Western shows.
    5. 186 Western shows.

    The total amount of shows is: 29887 + 197879 + 5120 + 186 = 233072

    The spec points will vary based on the type of the show entered:

    1. Racing show - The trait is Racing:
      • When it does not have the wand:
        (5 * 233072 [total]) + (29887 [racing entered] * (29887 [racing entered] +  23307 [the trait is 10% of the total] ) * 100 [base]) / (233072 [total] * 1.5) = 1165360 + (29887*53194*100) / 349608 = 1620100
        • Note: Without the Racing trait, the numbers would have been 1165360 + 29887*29887*100/349608 = 1420855

      • When the player has the wand.
        (5 * 233072 [total]) + (29887 [racing entered] * (29887 [racing entered] +  46614 [the trait is 20% of the total] ) * 200 [base]) / (233072 [total] * 1.5) = 1165360 + (29887*76501*200) / 349608 = 2473330
    2. English show
      • When it does not have the wand:
        (5 * 233072 [total]) + (197879 [english entered] * 197879 [english entered]  * 100 [base]) / (233072 [total] * 1.5) = 1165360 + 197879*197879*100/349608 = 12365360
        • Note: If the horse would have English trait, then the numbers would be: 1165360 + 197879*(197879 + 23307) * 100 / 349608 = 13684542 (a 10% increase)
      • When it has the wand:
        (5 * 233072 [total]) + (197879 [english entered] * 197879 [english entered]  * 200 [base]) / (233072 [total] * 1.5) = 1165360 + 197879*197879*200/349608 = 23565361

    Notes:

    • The above horse is better in English shows. Typically horses should specialize on the horse trait, for maximum results.
    • The arena horse bonus applies to all the above numbers. They were calculated with 0% arena training. 100% arena training would double each of them.

     

    Level points:

    The level points factor depends on:

    1. The horse level.
    2. The player level.
    3. Rider specialization for the entered show (if the player is a rider)
    4. The arena training for player.

    The points are calculated following this formula:

    HorseLevel*100 + PlayerLevel*100 (If the player is a rider, this is multiplied with the Riding speciality for the entered show).

    The arena training for the player will add a bonus, depending on what % it has for the entered show type.

     

    Examples:


      • Level 100 Manufacturer
      • Level 100 Horse
      • 70% Arena bonus for the entered show.

      The points are 100 [horse level] * 100 [player level] * 1.7 [70% arena bonus] = 100*100*1.7 = 17000

      • Level 100 Rider
      • Level 100 Horse
      • 70% Riding specialization for the entered show
      • 20% Arena bonus for the entered show.

      The points are: 100 [horse level] * ( 100 [player level] * 1.7 [70% riding specialization] ) * 1.2 [20% arena bonus] = 100*100*1.7*1.2 = 20400

      Note: Given the same conditions, a rider has more points than any other guild.

      • Level 100 Trainer
      • Level 100 Horse
      • 100% Arena bonus.
      The points are: 100 * 100 * 2 [100% arena bonus] = 20000

      Note: The arena bonus is just as important as the riding speciality for riders.

     

    Summary:

    The show results depend on the following factors:

    1. Horse happiness
    2. Horse skill points
    3. Horse skill trait
    4. Horse level
    5. Horse specialization
    6. Horse specialization trait
    7. Horse arena training
    8. Player level
    9. Player guild
    10. The riding specialization (if player is a rider)
    11. The player arena training
